Principals
John DiCarlo, Owner, President
John is a Technologist and business leader with extensive experience advising clients achieve optimal technology design and use across all aspects of today’s IT spectrum including traditional IT and Cloud technologies. Formerly a Principal Technologist at NetApp, he assisted customers translate their business and technology needs into innovative solutions that addressed their complex mission problems. Previously at IBM he was a technical leader dedicated to IBM’s most strategic federal clients and led IBM’s US Public Sector & Federal Technical teams consisting of first line managers, Systems Engineers, and Architects. At Sun Microsystems he held various technical leadership roles to include Chief Architect, Principal Engineer, and as CTO. At GE, he held positions as a first line manager, Chief Engineer, Program Manager and Software Engineer. He started his career developing software at CSC and Western Union Electronic Mail.
Additionally, as Adjunct Faculty at GMU’s Department of Information Sciences & Technology, Volgenau School of Engineering, John taught Big Data Systems graduate level courses.
Douglas Edwards, Owner, President
Douglas owned and operated Metropolitan Computer Cabling, Inc. designing structured cabling solutions for the last 30+ years. His duties included but were not limited to performing site surveys, designing build projects, providing labor to install network cabling systems, and plan takeoffs. He also provided proposals for the required scope, project management, final as-built documentation and all other related efforts pertaining to various projects. He has extensive experience in network cabling installations, termination and testing. He also focuses on strategic planning, sales engineering, and coordination with general contractors.
